Canal Mama Chat One of the names we're considering is Aaron, but none of us like the way it's spelt, so I'm just curious what alternative spelling would you use? Aron Aren Aran Aarron Aeron Aaran Ahron Arun Aaren Aahron I like Aeron but phonetically that would probably be pronounced a little more like Air-on or Air-en by many people. I like Aren too, both feel quite modern. Ahren or Aron. I'd use Aaron or if I don't like spelling, choose another name. It will be so tedious that your child will pass through life constantly having to correct the spelling of your name to an atypical version. Maybe Ahron. I like Aren, Arron and Ahren. When you spell it differently in most cases the pronunciation changes. Arron is pronounced with a Ah sound and there is a difference in sound when using -on or -un. I would stick to Aaron or use Aron (this is widely used in the Netherlands as Aaron is used not so much). Aeron is adorable. I agree with the sign above, I think this looks the most modern on the list. It's nice too, but it reminds me of Karen. Some of the others make me think of arrow or Herron... But Aeron is super cute. I think older people will want to spell it out in the traditional way, but I don't think people will pronounce it bad. The child's pairs probably won't know any other 'Aarons' unless it's his father's name, so I don't think changing spelling will be so big of a deal. According to , I would use traditional spelling, it is annoying to constantly correct spelling and pronunciation (I have an unusually spelt nickname!) Aryn? Aeryn? I am a fan of the lyrics "Y"Aryn, but not Aeryn. And I think Aeron looks a lot like Heron. I spell my name Aaryn and I'm a female. No one has seen him spelled like that. I always get 'which is a unique way of spelling it is good that it is... The only Arrow, Arow Arrio, Ario, Arryo, Aryo, Yerrow. The last one I'm not sold at. It's unique but it doesn't feel like "Arrow" to me. The only alternative that could heat would be Aran, like in the Aran Islands, the Aran Bridges etc. Something pretty handsome and robust? Id use erron The son of a friend is Arran, like the Scottish island. That's really beautiful. But any spelling you choose will be normal for you and work well for him I'm sure my husband is an Aaron are the most attractive to me!! Developed by , best seen with JavaScript enabled

"Aaronic" is an adjective that refers to his traditional priestly attributes as attention to detail, respect for tradition and religion. For example, biblical texts focus on rules and traditions as they are considered aaronic. ContentsPronunciation[] In its original Hebrew, it is pronounced as three syllables, a-ha-ron. This Hebrew pronunciation is still used in modern Hebrew in Israel today. The Hebrew sound did not have a direct equivalent in Greek, when the Jewish scriptures were translated by Greek-speaking Jews in Alexandria about 200 BCE to form the , so these translators used a couple of Greek letters to approach the same sound, "Aαρióν". This was translated again by the Greek into Latin as "Aaron" in the fourth century CE. It is thought that the Greeks and Romans would pronounce Aaron similarly to the Hebrew, since the Latin Catholic pronunciation is still defined in this way. The pronunciation in English of the biblical name was derived from the anglicization of Latin during the 's translation of the authorized in 1611 (possibly influenced by the elders of Anglo Saxon from time on). The modern Guide to Pronunciation of the Church of England, the guide to pronounce the BBC, the guide to pronounce the Church of Jesus Christ of the Last Day Saints, the Oxford English Dictionary, the guide to pronunciation of Longman, and Harper Collins Biblical Pronunciation Guide define this modern pronunciation in English as / Street-run, where "air" is the same sound as in "dairy"). This pronunciation is used in the 1956 film with the biblical rabbi, by the head of the UK when he speaks in English, and in the production of BBC of Shakespeare. The English name "Aaron" is sometimes confused with the English name "" which also derives from the biblical routes but through translation routes other than the Church of England (e.g. Scandinavian churches and Celts) and pronounced /ærrinen/ ("a-ran" as in "arrow"). It is sometimes confused with the names and also pronounced /ærn/ ("a-ran" as in "arrow") but derive from various sources not related to the Bible as the Scottish and Irish. is another name not related, pronounced air-ron, of an old man and the .
